Decorating for Fall!
Yay! Fall is here! My absolute favourite season! I have been looking forward to this season for many reasons; sweaters, blankets, fresh apple cider, cooler days, cool nights so one can snuggle under blankets.
Another reason is so I can decorate for Fall! This year I made a welcome sign that I can use in any season and added some burlap and mums, hopefully some corn stalks and a pumpkin will be joining my arrangement as well.
I haven't got to make my centre piece for my table but here is what I have in mind!
These are just the few simple ideas that are easy but look so pretty! If you do a search on Pinterest or even good ol' Google you are bound to find a ton of different ideas to suit your style! A small touch of seasonal decorations makes a home look so inviting and homey! So try your hand at making a few no matter how "crafty" you may or may not be.
Another thing about fall that I love is the Apples. There is nothing quite like biting into a fresh crunchy apple or dipping your spoon into a fresh apple crisp! Speaking of apple crisp here
is my favourite recipe it turns out every time and is super yummy!
Apple Crisp
5 medium apples peeled, cored, and sliced
1 Cup Brown sugar packed
3/4 Cup Flour
3/4 Cup quick oats
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 softened butter
Preheat oven to 350F. Place the sliced apples in the bottom of a 9x13 pan. In a large bowl combine sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, and butter, mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples and bake for 45 min.
Super easy and it keeps in the fridge for a few days. I've made it and split it into two smaller pans and rewarmed when we had company and served it with a scoop of ice cream and it looked like I had worked hard for it!

The colours of fall are simply breath taking for me. It causes me to stand in awe and wonder at our amazing God which in turn causes me to look inward and re-evaluate my life and where I stand before the painter of nature, for only when we realize how big God is and how small we are can we get things into proper perspective on things.
"But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you;
"Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you.
"Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this?
"In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind."
Job 12:7-10
